Cynthia Carter

Director of Institutional Relations

Cynthia Carter is the Director, Institutional Relations for Advancement. In her role, she builds, grows and sustains mission-driven partnerships with colleges/universities, companies, congregations, and nonprofit organizations, connecting ECS to funding, growth opportunities, subject matter experts and resources.

Prior to joining ECS, Cynthia was Assistant Director, Strategic Partnerships with Drexel University. There, she cultivated and grew national and regional partnerships across 7 industry sectors, partnering with corporations, government agencies and professional associations, for its 14 colleges/schools. She also is a former Adjunct Law Professor with Strayer University, where she taught business law, criminal law and ethics for both graduate and undergraduate programs.

Cynthia holds a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline College of Law and is a former Arbitration and Mediation Fellow with Pepperdine University, Caruso School of Law. She also holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College.
