ECS Philly Community Dinner Focuses on Housing Stability and Safe Homes

January 27, 2026

At ECS Philly, we believe meaningful conversations and stronger communities are built through connection.

During a recent Community Dinner, neighbors, community members, and ECS staff gathered to share a meal, connect with one another, and engage in an important conversation about housing stability and safe living environments.

The evening included a presentation from ECS housing staff focused on the importance of clean and safe homes, along with information and resources related to housing conditions, lead exposure, asbestos, and other issues that can impact family health and well-being.

Access to safe and stable housing plays a critical role in helping individuals and families build long-term stability and opportunity. Conversations like these help connect community members with information, resources, and support that can help improve quality of life and strengthen neighborhoods.

At ECS Philly, housing support is part of our broader mission of building a bridge to prosperity and helping turn poverty into possibility across Philadelphia communities.

Community-centered gatherings like the Community Dinner also create space for neighbors to ask questions, share experiences, and build relationships rooted in support and trust.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for the evening and helped contribute to a thoughtful and meaningful conversation about housing, wellness, and community support.

Together, we can continue working toward a future where individuals and families have access to safe, healthy, and stable housing.
