Areas of Impact

Safe, Structured Environments
Children have a reliable place to learn, play, and grow during critical after-school hours, reducing risk and stress for families.
Support for Working Caregivers
OST gives parents and guardians the flexibility to maintain jobs, pursue education, and plan for long-term stability.
Access to ECS Programs
Caregivers connected through OST can access ECS’s full range of services—from housing support to financial coaching and employment resources.
Improved Academic Confidence
Children build skills and confidence through enrichment activities that support learning and personal development outside the classroom.

Out of School Time (OST) at ECS offers more than academic support—it provides a safe, structured environment for children (K-8) during critical after-school hours. While kids learn, play, and grow, caregivers gain the flexibility to work, pursue education, and maintain household stability.

OST strengthens families by reducing barriers to employment and creating space for long-term career growth. It’s a vital part of ECS’s commitment to economic mobility and community transformation.
