Our Areas of Focus
ECS’s Health & Wellness programs offer practical support for individuals and families. From parenting workshops to nutrition education and behavioral health services, our goal is to reduce barriers to well-being and create pathways to economic mobility.
All programs are free and designed to meet people where they are.
Parenting Programs
A virtual series for all caregivers using the Nurturing Skills for Families™ curriculum, .this virtual workshop encourages participants to speak openly about their experiences as parents and help one another raise responsible children and set appropriate boundaries.
Any type of parent is welcome, including, birth parents, adoptive parents, foster parents, grandparents, bonus parents, etc. If you care for a child, you can join Parent Connection!
An in-person and virtual fatherhood development program that focuses on being a more confident parent and a stronger presence in your child’s life and community. Sessions include positive parenting approaches, stages of childhood development, financial stability, and peer support from others working to improve their relationships with their children.Supportive coaching and peer-led workshops for caregivers and fathers.
Healthy Eating & Meal Offerings
Virtual cooking and nutrition series with gift card incentives for families.
A dignity-based open choice pantry offering fresh produce, meats, and household goods in Carroll Park.
Weekly volunteer-led meal prep for over 200 elderly Philadelphians who need support.
In-person nutrition education with cooking demos and incentives.
Year-long lifestyle change program with coaching and peer support.
Includes pop-up clinics, health screenings, and partnerships with local providers.
Health Services
Comprehensive mental health care includes individual and group counseling, referrals, and wellness workshops.
Monthly screenings for blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol help community members take steps toward a healthier future.
Evidence-based workshops offer tools for managing diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and more.
Pop-up clinics and referrals through the HEALS Program connect participants with non-urgent medical care.
