Please note:

In accordance with Child Protective Services Law (CPSL), before beginning our program, ECS requires any/all interns who will be working in direct contact with our clients to obtain and submit Child Abuse History and Criminal Record Background check clearances and FBI Finger print registration. These forms may be downloaded directly from the following sites or in some instances may be completed and filed on line.

To obtain your FBI Fingerprint criminal record check you must first register online with Cogent Systems Fingerprint Services at www.pa.cogentid.com (Must have a valid credit or debit card. The current registration fee is $33.00)

Click here to download the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Form. This form cannot be completed online; it must be submitted via US Mail. Follow mailing instructions on form. Include a $10.00 money order for processing payable to Department of Public Welfare. (Personal checks are not accepted) For ECS purposes, when completing the form, please put a check mark in the “child care” check off box under “Purpose of Clearance.” Their contact number is:  1-717-783-6211 (it’s best to call very early in the morning)
